Thyrallis is a beautiful flowering shrub that becomes covered in masses of yellow flowers from spring through to winter. In fact, if it is a mild winter- they will keep blooming through the winter as well. The plant is fast growing and can reach heights of 5 to 6 feet and 3-4 feet of width. It can be used as a screening plant, specimen flowering plant or as a hedge, if desired. The plant can be trimmed and kept at a height of 3 feet. It thrives in full sun to part shade and is deer resistant. It is not salt tolerant though.
If you want a sunny plant to brighten up your yard, then thyrallis is a great choice.
