Panama Rose is a lovely semi-tropical perennial. Panama Rose, sometimes called Bush Pentas, is originally from Mexico. It is a shrub (up to 5 ft in height) with bright-pink, star-shaped flowers in clusters.
Panama Rose blooms November through early summer with scattered blooms the rest of the year. The flowers attract butterflies with nectar when little else is in bloom. The flowers are sweetly fragrant, especially after sunset.
This plant is easy to care for. Trim as needed to maintain shape. It has poor salt tolerance and deer may eat.
