Sunshine ligustrum has a brilliant yellow foliage that flourishes in the full sun. It requires at least 5-6 hours of sunshine to maintain the brilliant color otherwise it will be a pale green. Sunshine Ligustrum can stand up to the cold of the winter as well as the heat of the summer. Unlike the green ligustrum, it does not flower- simply a foliage plant. It can be shaped and pruned at any time of the year.
The Sunshine Ligustrum grows from 3’-6’ tall and 3’-4’ wide. It prefers a well drained area- does not like soggy feed and is moderately salt tolerant and the deer rarely bother it.
