Notes: Poinsettia is the classic flower of Christmas. Use them to decorate your home- inside or out. If you would like to plant them after the Holidays, keep them watered in their containers and protected until the threat of frost has passed, then plant them in the ground in a part sun- sun area. They need to be planted where there is no artificial light (such as front entrance lights or street lights) so they will set their bracts red next year. They can grow quite large so keep them trimmed throughout the summer so you don’t have to trim them in the fall.
