Good salt tolerance makes it a great plant for coastal areas when planted back from the front dunes. Plant in full sun to partly sunny areas. Attracts a variety of birds that eat the fruit and use the plant for nesting. Mature plant are quite drought tolerant. Pineapple Guava is cold hardy and disease-resistant.
