Notes: Firespike is a beautiful large plant that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. It grows relatively upright and the “spike” flowers appear in late summer and persist throughout the fall. Frost can cause the plant to die back to the ground however will resprout in the spring. Drought tolerant once established however performs better with regular water. Fertilize with a bloomer 6-8-10 to prolong blooming.
