Notes: This palm radiates a tropical beauty and is considered to be among the finest landscape & cultivated palms. This attractive clumping palm rarely grows more than 10′ tall and can tolerate temps down to about 15-25 degrees. The red, orange or green flowers have a sweet fragrance & produce red to deep purple fruits. Prefers light shade although will tolerate about 1/2 day of sun. Use as a standalone specimen or for screening. Maintain moisture in a well-drained location. Drought tolerant once established. Also good planted on slopes to help prevent erosion.
