Windmill Palm

Height: 10′ – 20′
Spread: 6′ – 10′
Zone: 8 – 11
Salt: Moderate
Light: Full Sun
Notes: Windmill palms are hardy to 10 degrees making it the most widely used palm north of the Florida border. Very slow growing palm with an erect, single trunk covered with dense, brown, hairlike fibers giving unique characteristic feature to the palm. Works well as a framing tree, accent, specimen, or a patio or urn subject. Mass plantings where palms are spaced six to ten feet apart around a patio or sitting area makes for a beautiful tropical setting. Plant in well drained soil in full sun or part shade and fertilize March, July and September with palm fertilizer.
