Tea Olive

Height: 6′ – 8′
Spread: 4′ – 6′
Zone: 8 – 10
Salt: Moderate
Light: Full Sun / Partial Shade
Deer: Usually not
Flower: White very fragrant
Notes: Rarely will you see an old traditional southern garden that doesn’t host a Tea Olive near the deck, porch, or patio sitting areas. Tiny white flowers cover the bush and fill the air with their sweet fragrance from fall through spring and sporadically throughout summer. An easy evergreen to grow with few pests or disease problems. Morning sun with afternoon shade, or high, shifting shade is ideal.
