Society Garlic

Height: 12″ – 18″
Spread: 12″ – 18″
Zone: 7 – 10
Salt: Moderate
Light: Full sun / Partial shade
Flower: Purple
Notes: A great clumping plant with a different texture and bright lavender flowers on tall spikes that gently sway in the breeze. Small groupings or mass plantings make a colorful splash in the garden. Plant in full sun or partly sunny areas. Easy plant to grow with very few pest or disease problems. Fertilize spring, summer and fall with slow release bloomer for flowering spring through fall. Just like its name, the grass puts off a distinct garlic smell. Especially in the summer heat, the breeze will blow and carry a wave of garlic smell. Great flowering plant where deer are a problem as they don’t like the smell and tend not to eat it.
