Chinese Fan Palm

Height: 25′
Spread: 10′ – 12′
Zone: 9 – 11
Salt: Poor
Light: Full Sun
Notes: A beautiful palm with many uses in the landscape. One the defining characteristics of the Chines Fan Palm is the drooping tip ends of its large six-foot leaves gently swaying in the breeze. Because of its slow growth it is ideal to use as a container palm on patios or decks where privacy and a tropical effect are desired. In the landscape this palm is perfect as a lone specimen, in groupings, or planted 10′ apart will form a closed canopy effect. Self cleaning of old leaves and requires little or no pruning. Fertilize 3 times per year with palm fertilizer.
