Cigar Plant
Cuphea ignea

- Height: 3′ – 5′
- Spread: 2′ – 3′
- Zone: 10 – 12
- Salt: Moderate
- Light: Full Sun
- Deer: Usually Not
- Flower: Tubular orange with yellow tip
Notes: Fast growing perennial that provides brilliant color in the garden spring through fall. Use in containers, as a backdrop for shorter plants, or in a grouping near patios or windows where one can enjoy watching the hordes of hummingbirds and butterflies. Avoid northern exposures and plant before September to have established going into winter. Established plants normally recover quickly in spring if winter damaged.
